I didn’t want to leave you all wondering about Karson’s results. His scans have not yet been read. They will let us know the results tomorrow, after the radiologist has read them. His oncologist did say that his bloodwork was perfect, so that’s great news. 🙏🎗️💛 I’ll be sure to let you all know as soon as I can. Thank you for all of the positive thoughts and prayers, the private messages and texts, and your messages here on Facebook and Instagram; they are very much appreciated. ❤️ For once, Karson didn’t want to jump at Get Air ~ he wanted to go buy fishing gear. 🎣🐟😊 This handsome, sweet, funny guy has his scans tomorrow. We welcome your prayers and positive thoughts for a clear and clean scan; for tomorrow, and beyond. We know prayer works! We also know that God continues to hold Karson in His arms and He has this. But these scans... They don’t seem to be getting any easier.
This time of year is always difficult as he was re-diagnosed this month four years ago. But, we have been trying to stay busy so that we don’t have time to worry. I’m thankful for my parents coming down again this weekend to help me with the lawn and garden. They are the best. Between them, the prom, and some exciting new things for HFM, we’ve been well occupied. We are so blessed ~ I try to remember this. We will be sure to share the results with you as soon as we have them. “People often don’t realize there’s a difference between general anxiety and scanxiety. For those of us with scanxiety, it’s not about what might happen. It’s about what did happen. Telling a person with scanxiety to “just let go because worry won’t help” or “the things you worry about will never happen” can not only be confusing to us but it can be damaging. Because the things that cause our anxiety already happened. For us, it’s not so much about worrying. It’s about remembering.” ~ Unknown #blessed #neuroblastoma #childhoodcancer #childhoodcancrerwarrior #childhoodcancerawarenessiseverymonthforourfamily We are excited to share that the Big Red Steelheads Lacrosse Team from Cornell University will be putting on a benefit concert for Hope for Miracles, Inc. and the Leukemia and lymphoma society. Come on out and see The Samples perform live on August 1st from 6pm to 10pm at the Olympic Speed Skating Oval in Lake Placid and help us to raise some much needed funding for cancer research. 🎗️🥍🎶
