A North Country family is asking for help raising money for childhood cancer research after dealing with their own battle.

Karson Hall, who is in 8th grade, has been diagnosed with neuroblastoma several times throughout his life.


He's been in remission for four years now.

His family is stepping up to do their part to find a cure.

Karson's mom, Holly LaBombard, started the nonprofit Hope For Miracles which is hosting its annual gala on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Great Adirondack Hotel in Lake Placid.

The organization donates 10% of money raised to UVM Children's Hospital and the rest to fund childhood cancer research.

​We are on our way home, relieved. Karson’s scans are clear; thank God… 🙏
Waiting for this scan was probably the toughest. At the beginning of last month he started getting pain in the area where his tumor was removed. His oncologist moved up his scans and added some extra just to be sure. I didn’t want to share it and worry everyone. This was also his 4th year scan; we hadn’t made it this long with a clear scan. I’m just so relieved and grateful… I cant seem to stop tearing up. 
Each time I say I’m handing the worry over to God, and for the most part I do. I just wasn’t as good at it this time. I’ll be better next time.

​This handsome, sweet, amazing guy, has his scans tomorrow morning. We welcome your prayers and positive thoughts for clear and clean scans; always. We know prayer works and that God has this. We are so blessed ~ I know this, but these scans are always anxiety inducing. This time of year is difficult; lots of memories of surgeries and treatments. School, birthdays, and Gala planning have kept us busy, but that fear still sneaks in. 
We will be sure to share the results with you as soon as we have them, which will not be until Monday at the earliest. 💛🎗️🙏

​Through the Women in Business event, presented by the North Country Chamber of Commerce, I was able to meet several amazing women who have since reached out to offer help and hope. I am so incredibly thankful. 🙏 I’m also excited to share what they are doing, and will do just that as soon as I’m able.
