Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

​For the most part, I’ve tried to stay off of social media this month ~ Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. As a parent who has watched their child fight, multiple times, this month is a reminder, and honestly, it’s terrifying. I don’t even like to look through my memories. Being reminded of statistics, others’ personal stories of their fight, the reminder that Karson’s surgeries/treatments always seem to be in the Fall, and that his next scan is a handful of weeks away. 
Today I had to remind myself that this is why I have to get on social media and share… Even though all of these reminders make me anxious, I have to continue to share why funding for research is so important.
