thankful

​I am so thankful for all of the support that we have been given from our community over these last 2 years since this post. Thanks to all of you, our generous businesses who sponsor our events, and all of our donors and supporters, we are able to do what we are passionate about. We work incredibly hard and are making a difference in our communities, one family at a time, one trial at a time, and we are supporting our local pediatric hospital. You’ll hear me mention in this video the inadequacies in funding for our children, our babies, who need our help the most. They are given only 4%… We made it our mission to do the opposite. When you hear me speak about our operating costs, our 1%, that is thanks to all of you, and our board’s dedication to our cause, while working full time jobs, and taking care of their families. It is certainly hard work and a success to be celebrated. Being a single mother of 3 beautiful children, one with an incredibly scary diagnosis, having a career as a teacher, and giving my all to fight and bring hope to other families through our nonprofit can be extremely time consuming, and sometimes exhausting. However, when I see how far we have come, when I look at all of our supporters, and when I look at how we are helping families right now, and right here in our community, it makes it all worth it. It gives me the energy and drive to try even harder. While I pray daily, first and foremost that Karson remains cancer free, I also pray to one day have the funding to hire staff. When that day comes, we know that our 1% will change, that’s a given, but what a success it will be. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, every single one of you, for helping us to be where we are today. 🙏
