today is international childhood cancer day

​Today is 🌍 #internationalchildhoodcancerday. 
We fight #becauseofKarson and those like him.
Karson is one of the fortunate ones. He will carry the scars from his battle, but he is here; he is healthy. We are blessed. But what about all of the others? #howwillyouhelp?
The global incidence of childhood cancer is increasing, and sadly, as much as 80% of childhood cancer is diagnosed too late for treatment ~ or the treatment doesn’t exist. Over 105,000 children will die this year. . .  Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children in the US. Federal budget cuts could mean that even the measly 4% or less, that childrens cancer has received in the past from the federal government, is at risk of being even lower, or completely taken away. #wemustdobetter
86-89% of funds raised through Hope for Miracles will go directly to childhood cancer research ~ research for lifesaving cures and treatments. 10% of funds raised will go to Pediatric Oncology programming at the UVM Children's Hospital. We appreciate your support. 🙏🎗️💛
