our first trial
This last year was extremely momentous for Hope for Miracles… We sent out our first check to Memorial Sloan Kettering to fund our first trial ~ $100,000! To say we were excited and proud is an understatement. We couldn’t have done it without you… Do you want to know how much of your donation went to the cause? Of every $1 you donated, $0.99 went to this trial. Isn’t it great to know that 99% of your money went directly to an actual medical trial/research?
*Every year since our inception, 99% of proceeds raised through HFM have went straight to Neuroblastoma research. I’m proud to tell you that we have been able to do the same this year. We were told by many that this was unheard of and couldn’t be done. Yet here we are, ensuring our operating costs are below 1%! ~ Not many (if any) nonprofits can say the same! *
Would you like to know exactly what your donations funded? Let me tell you… Our $100,000 funding is being used to test a neuroblastoma vaccine that can not only treat neuroblastoma but can be used across multiple adult and pediatric solid tumor cancers (MSK). However, it is first and foremost being used to treat neuroblastoma. Per MSK, “Scientists are using the vaccine in combination with β-glucan in a phase I study to identify side effects and the optimal dose in patients with NB. This is the only pediatric tumor vaccine in existence, it has been shown to be safe and increase survival rates in children with NB.”
From the bottom of my heart, thank you! Each and every one of you have blessed not only our family, but every family touched by neuroblastoma. Together, we ARE making a difference. God bless.

“Myself, and the Neuroblastoma team at MSK Kids are deeply grateful to Hope for Miracles for inspiring philanthropy amongst their community and choosing us as the beneficiary of their support. This gift will allow us to research the latest treatments to help kids with cancer live longer, healthier, and happier lives.”

a message from hope for miracles, inc.
Hope for Miracles, Inc. has chosen Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as our recipient for funds raised.
Karson will continue with his All Star Team at UVMCH - we couldn’t ask for a better team, and we know that this is where Karson is meant to be. They have our heart and we will always support them.
So, why did we choose Memorial Sloan Kettering for the recipient of our funds and to conduct research and clinical trials for Neuroblastoma? We chose Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center because they are one of the top research centers on Neuroblastoma in the Country. Their experts are among the best in the world. They are pioneering therapies and doing groundbreaking research on Neuroblastoma.
How can we help? Additional funding for research is critical. Children are dying because there is not enough funding for research. We CAN and WILL change this!

A Message from Memorial Sloan Kettering:
You already know that no one works harder for patients than the people at MSK Kids—and this will never change. In fact, with Hope for Miracles, Inc. in our corner, we will continue to advance how we diagnose and treat kids with cancer at a rapid pace.
MSK Kids, Memorial Sloan Kettering’s pediatric program, is dedicated to all children, young adults, and families facing childhood cancer. With specialized expertise and care focused on the individual child, we’re proud to say that more families turn to us for cancer care than any other hospital in the United States. And as pioneers in research, no one fights harder than our physicians and scientists to develop and deliver more effective strategies to prevent, treat, and ultimately cure childhood cancer—for our patients at MSK Kids, and for those everywhere.
Thank you for choosing Memorial Sloan Kettering as one of your beneficiaries – we are so grateful.
