welcome rebecca lacey!

​I’m excited to share the first of our two new Board of Directors. Welcome Rebecca Lacey! Rebecca comes to us with a background in Real Estate (for over 15 years) focusing on Lake Placid Vacation Rentals and Customer Service.
“I learned about Hope for Miracles through Karson, who is best friends with my son Alec. The first time I met Karson I was impressed at what a truly amazing person he is. Not only is he kind, and beyond polite, but also one of the bravest children I know.  Over time I became friends with Holly who is truly an inspiration.  When my son Alec was six, he was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia and spent a few weeks in the hospital initially then we had to go multiple times a week for almost a year.  I will never forget that experience and the children and staff we met along the way.  Every time he had bloodwork done; I was scared because the results always came back as mild Leukemia because some of the symptoms are similar to Aplastic Anemia. I understand what it’s like to have a child who is sick; the fear and the need to help. I was inspired when I found out that the Holly created Hope for Miracles to help children battling cancer. I feel blessed to have this opportunity to be a part of this organization that is focused on funding childhood cancer research.”
